Early Years Quality & Compliance Auditor

Hi, my name is Roop, and I am the Early Years Quality & Compliance Auditor at Monkey Puzzle Day Nurseries. I have been a part of the team since February 2025!

My main responsibilities are to audit nurseries - ensuring that they maintain compliance with regulations while also striving for the highest level of early education and care. I aim to support settings in providing the best possible start for every child, fostering a nurturing environment for children, families, and the local community. I support nurseries through comprehensive audits where I evaluate all areas of the setting. Based on my findings, I provide tailored training, guidance, and reports to help nurseries continuously reflect and improve. I also create quality improvement plans, encouraging them to celebrate their achievements while pushing for even higher standards in their practices.

I bring over 5 years of senior leadership experience, having worked as a Regional Manager for medium to large companies. During this time, I successfully led settings to achieve “Good” and “Outstanding” ratings. My expertise lies in coaching teams, operational growth, and implementing hands-on support to ensure settings flourish. I’ve also managed new nursery setups and integrated new acquisitions, ensuring high operational standards and team alignment.

Qualifications

I hold a Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management in the Early Years Workforce. This qualification has given me a deeper understanding of adapting to diverse learning styles and handling challenging conversations, which are key in leading improvements and nurturing growth within nurseries.

Get to know me

In my free time, I enjoy gardening, travelling with my husband, reading psychological thrillers, dancing and trying new foods. A fun fact about me is that I previously took a career break to teach English to children and adults in Phuket, Thailand for 3 months and then in Czech Republic in an international nursery school – This was an incredible opportunity to immerse myself in different cultures, gain new perspectives on education, and develop my skills in a diverse environment.
