Founder and Director

Hi, my name is Rebecca, and I am the Founder and Director of Monkey Puzzle Day Nurseries. I feel that the core values driving Monkey Puzzle are family values. The start of our whole journey was based upon a family business and how families help and nurture each other. We want people, both working at Monkey Puzzle and becoming Franchisees, to feel part of the Family. A bit about my past is that after graduating University, I worked in the City for Goldman Sachs on the Fixed Income Trading floor. The hours were very long, and it was very obvious that I couldn’t continue to do this if we also wanted to have a family. It made perfect sense to us that the obvious answer was to start our own nursery following in the footsteps of my mother-in-law who had run nurseries since 1978. Monkey Puzzle is growing each year, and it is so exciting to see our new nurseries develop and evolve into fabulous places for children to learn and grow. What is most exciting about Monkey Puzzle’s direction is watching, and helping, people fulfilling their dreams of running their own business and providing exceptional childcare in their local area. It really is so fantastic to be able to see the beautiful nurseries that we help to create and the love and care that our Franchisees put into their settings.

Get to know me

My hobbies are properties and interiors. I am never happier than when we have a property project underway, and I get to indulge my love of renovation and interiors. I have done this a lot in the UK and more recently we have been working a lot in Greece which has the added benefit of fabulous views and the sunshine! One thing that people probably didn’t know about me is that I spent 3 years running a water ski club in Dubai! One of the terms of my contract was that I had to ski at least once a day as the club wanted to promote women’s water skiing around the world. They actually did a great job of this as one of our younger members became the British and European champion! Not me I hasten to add!
