Management Accountant

Hi, my name is Jamie-Lee, and I am the Management Accountant at Monkey Puzzle Day Nurseries. I have been a part of the team since August 2024, and love working here because the atmosphere in the office is different to any I have experienced before, the staff are happy and friendly, they want to be here – rather than it just being a job. The staff of Monkey Puzzle are passionate, and it makes for a great team and place to be a part of.

My job role requires me to provide monthly financial strategic reports to stakeholders of the business. I analyse and help forecast financial trends of the business and work with lots of other departments to go through budgets to make sure we have captured all spend and on track financially. I work with our franchisees by offering adhoc support as and when it is required if they have questions on their accounts or would like ideas on best practice for different financial scenarios. I have many years’ experience working in finance departments and have performed many different finance functions within teams so have had exposure to most areas so I feel confident to help anyone out with any issues they may have.

Qualifications

I have a BA degree in accounting and taxation from Bournemouth University. I am also part qualified with ACCA which I am looking to continue to study towards and become fully qualified. 

Get to know me

I have a young daughter so most of my spare time is spent playing in soft play or generally acting as a climbing frame for her. If I do find time for anything else its usually some DIY project around the house or socialising with friends. A fun fact about me is that I used to play the accordion and entered competitions under the NAO (national accordion organisation) and won several categories when I was younger!
