We are thrilled to announce that Monkey Puzzle Day Nurseries have been shortlisted as a finalist for this year’s annual British Franchise Awards in two separate award categories.

The central team have been shortlisted in the “Franchisor Leadership & Culture” award category, whilst our franchisees, the Kent family, who operate five Monkey Puzzle sites, all of which have an ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted rating, are shortlisted in the “Franchisee Single Brand – Multi Site” category.  Huge congratulations to the whole team and all those who have contributed to this wonderful accolade! We are looking forward to the awards ceremony in early November to find out the results of the judging and wish the other nominees all the best with their entries.

Committed to our vision, “We inspire through excellence in Early Years education, creating a positive impact for generations to come”, our team work hand in hand with their franchise network to ensure complete unity and alignment at all times.  Dedicated to putting people at the forefront of everything we do, from the moment a new franchisee joins the network, they are empowered to connect with fellow members of the network, encouraging an environment of cross collaboration throughout their journey with the brand. With regular network roadshows and a commitment to in-person meetings, their people are actively encouraged to come together, discuss relevant themes and identify areas to improve and explore how the central team can support the franchisees to succeed.  Championing a culture where people are integral to the overall success of the business is central to their mission – wanting people to fulfil their potential whether that is as an educator, business owner and everyone in between.

Another key area of focus for the central team is workplace wellbeing and flexibility.  Allowing franchisees flexibility is part of what is attractive about the franchising model. There is room for franchisees to run their businesses to fit in and around their lives. Trust is central to this relationship, but the team at Monkey Puzzle are firm believers in the idea that if you find the right people, they’ll do a great job.  Providing them with the right conditions to be successful is something they are passionate about, creating an open culture within the brand around mental health and wellbeing. Monkey Puzzle ensure their staff feel they can access the resources provided to them without fear.

The appointment of David Hancock as Executive Chairman in May has further enhanced their commitment to continued innovation and support for franchisees.
