Ann Briley

Position:

Senior Early Years Quality Manager

About Me:

With more than 35 years of experience in Early Years, I’ve journeyed from an eager apprentice to my current role as Senior Early Years Quality Manager—supporting Head of Early Years & Operations and working to shape a culture of excellence across all MP settings. My passion lies in driving high-quality practice, empowering teams through meaningful training, and solving challenges with a calm, child-centred approach.

Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of guiding settings rated Inadequate or Requires Improvement, helping them rebuild confidence, strengthen their teams, and achieve sustainable improvement. As a Level 3 SENCO, I’m committed to developing inclusive, knowledgeable, and confident practitioners who set high expectations for every child.

In my role as an Early Years Quality Manager, I play a part in analysing quality trends, shaping improvement priorities, and supporting leaders at every level to ensure we deliver consistent, exceptional experiences for children and families. Nothing makes me prouder than seeing children achieve their milestones—whether those moments are tiny triumphs or huge celebrations.

Since joining MP, I’ve found not just a workplace but a truly supportive and caring organisation—one that values the children and families we serve, and equally champions the dedicated teams who make this work so meaningful.

At the heart of everything I do is one enduring belief: every child deserves the very best start in life. MP’s mission aligns with mine to ensure every setting across our organisation delivers exactly that.

When I’m not championing quality, you’ll likely find me exploring the world—New Zealand and India are particular favourites—or channelling my inner Whitney Houston with a bit of karaoke (hairbrush microphone optional!).
