What Is Franchising?
British Franchise Association
The British Franchise Association (BFA) was created in 1977 by the major franchise companies in the UK. It was formed to act in the interests of the industry, while also assessing and accrediting franchise companies as those that meet its criteria for the structure of the franchise business, the terms and conditions of the contract between the franchisee and franchisor, the testing of the system and it’s track record as a successful franchise.
Another key aspect of the BFA is helping potential franchisees recognise the good franchises from those that are not so good.
Monkey Puzzle Day Nurseries are long standing members of the BFA and we recognise the benefits of the organisation for ourselves and you the potential franchisee.
Being BFA accredited offers confidence to potential franchisees to invest in our proven system plus further intrinsic benefits. For example, being an accredited member will help our franchisees get start up finances in place, as the major high street banks look favourably on accreditation of the brand.
Along with promoting sound franchise businesses, the BFA also endeavours to guide prospective franchise owners and help them make the right choice when they invest in a franchise. The BFA suggests key considerations you need to bear in mind before choosing a franchise and it publishes a full list of its accredited members.
